PrideGroup of companies was founded in the year 2006 by Mr Hasnain Noorani when he took over his fathers business after graduating from the University of Nottingham with a first class honours in manufacturing Engineering and Management. The business at that time consisted of 2 budget hotels, a car rental company and driving school all operating under Glory Car Hire Tours & Safaris ltd.

In November 2007 every company is separated and put under its own banner . Glory Driving School was put aside to specifically operate as a driving school. The 2 budget hotels start being renovated as the flagship of PrideInn Hotels And Conferencing. At the same time Glory Tours & Safaris was born after we realized the need of a tour company that offered tour services in a very professional way to both locals and international markets.

In 2011 PrideInn Hotels & Conferencing and The Royal Kitchen Multi-Cuisine Restaurants were officially launched. We felt that Kenya lacked 3star & 4 star hotels and that clients needed to have choices ranging from decent budget hotels, business hotels, suites and luxury hotels. This is when we introduced the 3 star hotels with a 5-star touch and over a span of 3 years between 2011 and 2014, we had opened 6 hotels by simply buying out existing hotels that would then be renovated to our standards. The Royal Kitchen Multi-Cuisine Restaurants were to fulfil the need for food and beverage services in each of our PrideInn hotels. The restaurants mainly focuses on Chinese, Indian, Continental, Kenyan and Barbecue Cuisine. This was the first time, Kenyans experienced all cuisines under one roof.

In January 2012 after identifying a growing demand of conferencing facilities for large Meetings, Conferences & Events (MICE) locally & regionally we conceptualized and introduced the Pride Conference Centre a 1,500 capacity MICE Centre in Nairobi. The main agenda of introducing the conference Centre was to bridge the gap in the market due to lack of integrated conferencing facility that provides solutions under one roof. The 5yr old facility boasts as the 2nd largest conference Centre in the county comprising of a large ballroom and 12 different meeting rooms.

November 2012 our MD’s daughter had a birthday and he had a very bad experience while trying to order her a cake. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to creating a company that would do that better and November 2012 saw the birth of Cake City Ltd. Cake City Ltd is a five star bakery chain boasting the biggest variety of cakes and pastries in East Africa.

In the year 2013, w rebranded Glory Car Hire to Pride Drive Ltd. Pride Drive is a Car rental, Vehicle leasing and corporate transport company. Our Mission is to be the best in the market, providing efficient services unlike any other in the region. We want our customers our range of diverse clientele i.e. walk-in, tourists and corporate to have genuine satisfaction every time they return our vehicles a¬re engaging our services.

In January 2016, we decided to partner with Vivo Energy Kenya to launch Pride Fuels Ltd a company dealing with sales of fuel, gas, oils/lubricants, tyres and other vehicle accessories. It was Initially meant to be a service provider to Pride Group Companies. But later it became impossible to import tyres directly from the manufacture for own consumption, hence having made contacts we negotiated with the manufacturer and managed to stick a deal with Sumitomo Rubber Industries South Africa, manufacturers of Sumitomo, Dunlop and Falken, to be the sole agents and distributors of the Sumitomo brand of tyres in the Kenyan market.

Early February 2017, we opened the shutters to Shawarma Express Kenya at The Sarit Centre mall Food Court in Westlands. Shawarma Express offers a healthier alternative to traditional fast food. Quick, healthy, fresh and custom made Shawarmas on wraps, made right in front of the customer. It has grown to become a favorite spot for many Nairobis who are Shawarma crazy!

In May 2017 we introduced a low cost model business centre called Muthaiga Business Center that was created specifically to fulfil the need of young entrepreneur’s who want to have office space but cannot afford to bind themselves on long leases or he¬fty deposits. We created a model where young, upcoming entrepreneurs can rent office spaces for whatever period they need it and with no binding agreement.

We have recently acquired Flamingo Beach Resort & Spa In Shanzu, Mombasa and its now under the PrideInn Hotels & Conferencing Umbrella.
